Our Daughter was struggling with her English in year 11. It was a combination of lost confidence, being a bit overwhelmed with the thought of an exam approaching fast and not quite having the right connection with her teacher. This was reflected in her predicted grade for the subject. We contacted Caroline to help, the first few sessions our daughter was very anxious and I had to be there with her, over time with a very understanding Caroline and her obvious enthusiasm for the subject our daughter gained her confidence. She began to enjoy the lesson as Caroline explained everything and went over things again if she didn't quite get it the first time, always asking her what she thought and positively encouraging her to give her opinion on it. We were over the moon with the result our Daughter got three grades above her predicted grade and could continue on her path to college and now university to study for her chosen career. Caroline tutored our son Ben for his GCSE English Language and Literature in 2024 when he was not predicted a pass. He achieved a solid grade 5 in both. Ben and Caroline’s weekly sessions were by video. Despite not being keen on the idea of a tutor, let alone with remote sessions, Ben warmed to Caroline immediately. Caroline provided engaging and really helpful sessions that Ben saw the benefit of in his lessons, as well as in revision closer to the exams.
